I am a medical doctor, with over 30 years of experience practicing near Boston, USA.

I am trained both in conventional and functional approach. I mostly work with busy people who are looking to improve their digestion and food sensitivities and unable to enjoy the food they want to eat.

I've been there.

Medical school taught me to diagnose and treat illness by addressing and treating pain and symptoms.

What it didn't teach me was how to prevent illness before it takes hold.

I didn't learn much about nutrition or natural treatments. In fact, the average doctor in this country only gets around 25 hours of nutrition training in 12 years of school.

That left me completely unprepared for my own emergency diagnosis - acute autoimmune thrombocytopenia - which almost killed me in 1999.

Since then, I've learned the power of functional medicine, which looks for root causes of disease before they manifest as chronic illness. When you eliminate the things that cause disease, you eliminate the disease. And most of the time, you can do that by addressing nutrition, stress, and environmental toxins.

With the knowledge that I have acquired and through my near life-threatening experiences, I have been on a journey to restore my health and improve wellness. And I've made it my mission to help others restore their health with functional medicine.

Learning about functional and integrative medicine empowered me to take charge of my health. After I went through a couple of autoimmune conditions, I was able to regain my health with diet and lifestyle changes and stress management techniques.
